Sunday Express: “one of today’s great Violettas”

In anticipation of Lebanese-Canadian soprano Joyce El-Khoury’s Royal Opera House debut on January 16, the Sunday Express has released a feature on her. El-Khoury will sing the role of Violetta in Richard Eyre’s La traviata production conducted by Daniele Rustioni.

She has performed more than 60 Violettas so far in seven different countries – the USA, Canada, Netherlands, Finland, France, Korea and the UK – and at 34 is gaining a reputation as one of today’s great Violettas.
